No. We do not offer pre-paid debit cards. Pre-paid debit cards often come with a high number of fees to maintain and use. As an alternative, we offer a CashPoints Global (CPG) account and CPG debit card to help you control your spending and eliminate non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees.
Visa debit cards, including CashPoints Global cards, can be activated by calling (866) 322-2377 or by completing a PIN-based transaction at any CashPoints ATM. CashPoints cards do not require activation.
Verify your contact information is correct to ensure easy card activation.
You can change your PIN at any CashPoints ATM under the “My SECU” menu by selecting the More option.
If you forget your PIN, contact our 24/7 Member Services at (888) 732-8562 to request a PIN mailer.
Can I use my card while traveling?
All NCPAFCU debit cards can be used at CashPoints and PLUS® network ATMs and at national Interlink and Maestro merchants.5 Visa cards can also be used worldwide and online at participating Visa merchants.
Generally, there are no fees for PIN- and signature-based transactions in the United States, or for Press for Info voice response and CashPoints ATM4 transactions.
PLUS ATM transactions incur a $0.75 fee for completed transactions and a $0.35 fee for denied transactions. Third-party ATM operators may impose additional fees.
Your account will be charged an International Transaction fee of 1% of the US dollar amount of each international transaction (including phone or internet transactions conducted in US dollars with a foreign merchant). Yes. You can request a card be sent via overnight delivery for a $15 fee. All shipments must be delivered to a physical address, not a P.O. Box. You can request the card be shipped to your local branch for pickup if you do not have a secure mailbox for delivery.
How can I monitor my card for fraud?
We employ numerous security features and fraud monitoring programs to help protect you from potential fraud, including free, automated text alerts to your mobile device to verify irregular card activity.10
However, we can’t block all threats to your account. Protect yourself and monitor your account by registering your card for Debit Card Alerts so you can be notified in near real-time of selected debit card activity.
1 CashPoints cards are not issued as contactless cards and are not compatible with contactless payment technology. 2 CashPoints cards do not bear the Visa logo and cannot be used to complete Visa transactions. 3 CashPoints cards are not eligible for use with Mobile Payments. 4 NCPAFCU assesses a surcharge for withdrawals using certain non-NCPAFCU issued cards at CashPoints ATMs. You will be notified during the transaction before you are charged if the fee applies to your non-NCPAFCU issued card. 5 The daily purchase limit includes the maximum cash withdrawal limit per day. If cash is withdrawn, the amount available for purchases that day is reduced by the withdrawn cash amount. 6 Withdrawals can be made in multiples of $20 at CashPoints ATMs. 7 Funds in an HSA are for qualified medical expenses. Review our Health Savings Account for more information. 8 Card bears the Visa logo and can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. 9 A checking account is required to make purchases. 10 To receive Irregular Card Activity Alerts, you must have agreed to the terms of our Online Services Agreement and maintain your current text number with us. You can withdraw your consent to receive these alerts at any time by texting STOP or by calling our 24/7 Member Services.
